Description

Program Description

Given its youthful population, Fiji is a nation in desperate need of outside help. You will observe daily life, which is very different from a typical tourist trip, in both urban and rural areas. The majority of people in Fiji cannot afford to travel, and there is little contact between the villages and the outside world. The chance to interact with people from various cultures and learn new pedagogical techniques will be advantageous to both students and teachers. No prior teaching experience is necessary because your main role will be to assist the regular school teacher.

It is challenging for local staff to give each child the attention they need due to the size of kindergarten classes. By keeping an eye on and taking care of the kids, you can help out here. Additionally, it is a great chance for you to put your interests and skills to use. Whether you teach kids how to play games and sing, or you make crafts, your ideas will be welcomed. The possibilities are endless if you take the initiative and show enthusiasm.

You can contribute to achieving the Kindergarten Plan’s objectives by leading educational games and group activities, offering psychological support, and helping to raise the standard of living for people who reside in underprivileged areas. Basic English instruction, English comprehension activities, games with the kids, planning engaging, age-appropriate activities, improving students’ conversational skills, and helping the kids relate to the English language are just a few of the possible program activities.

Kids Club

During the school holidays, we organize a kids’ club to provide a fun and educational experience for children during their breaks. The kids club takes place in community halls and is open to children aged 5 to 16 years old. Each week, the children are taught a specific theme, which is then further divided into subtopics to make learning easier for them. The club’s activities typically run from Monday to Friday, starting at 9 am and ending at 2:30 pm. In the afternoons, you, with the assistance of local coordinators, plan the lessons for the following day.

Furthermore, on Fridays, the kids’ club focuses on Sports Education, offering an exciting and active way for the children to engage and learn.

Your Role – Additional Information

Do not worry about lacking any unique qualifications. The goal of this program is to help kids in any way that we can, whether that means simply letting them hear how native English speakers pronounce words in English or giving them extra assistance with other academic subjects. Please keep in mind that we appreciate any help you can give us and are grateful for it. The main objective is that you have touched the lives of the children, which will undoubtedly leave a special place in their hearts, in addition to the additional learning and cross-cultural exchanges.

On the other hand, our Kindergarten program’s primary focus will depend on what the current needs of the child development centers or the schools are. Your primary roles will include, but are not limited to:

Children can be taught using educational materials or educational concept games because they enjoy learning something new every day.
