Description
Program Description
Spending time in Sigatoka, where you can get to know the locals and learn about their culture, is the best way to embrace Fiji. The dos and don’ts of transportation and safety will be covered this week.
Along with customary etiquette and regional architecture, different crafts give Fiji a distinctive identity that helps to tell the tale of culture and its development over time. Throughout your stay, you will be invited to participate in a kava ceremony. After the formalities are over, this is a great way to meet new people and discover what their countries are like. See what you can discover by doing a little more exploring! Visit the markets in Fiji, take a weaving class, study Fijian culture through language and cuisine, and present your ideas. The week is divided into three days of activities that will familiarize you with Fijian culture and surroundings and give you the chance to get to know your fellow participants. The final two days of the week are when you will visit your project and start working on it.
