Description

Program Description

English is hailed as an international Language, therefore, it is vital for everyone to learn it most especially at very young age in order to prepare them in their future endeavors, most specially with international relations, multi cultural exchange, tourism and many more. Thus, it is a perfect timing for you to lend a hand and maybe it is your life assignment and purpose, to Teach English!

This program offers the opportunity to work alongside students in various schools as an English teacher. We have established strong partnerships with child development centers, kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools, catering to students ranging in age from 2.5 to 18 years.

Many schools are receptive to new teaching concepts and approaches, allowing you to share your innovative ideas and teaching strategies that can complement the local Thai teaching methods. You will contribute to the dual purpose of our teaching program. Firstly, it aims to help children in rural Thailand improve their English speaking and learning abilities, especially since their teachers may not be fluent English speakers. Secondly, it provides you with insight into the Thai education system, allowing you to understand what and how students learn while fostering friendships and building rapport with both students and teachers.

Your daily schedule will vary depending on the school, with teaching sessions typically lasting 2-3 hours. Classes will be scheduled in the morning or afternoon based on availability. On some days, you may teach in both the morning and afternoon, with lunch provided either at the school or the center, depending on the program’s schedule.

You will work alongside other teachers and participants in the classroom, collaborating on lesson plans and organizing activities.

In addition, during the teaching activities, always be on time and be mindful of class schedules and come to school prepared, be creative in preparing lessons in fun and engaging ways, smile and have lots of patience as you are working with students with various personalities. You are also expected to actively join other activities and of course to enjoy and make the most of your stay and make memorable learning experiences.

During the School Holidays

During school holidays, special classes and English camps are organized, providing additional opportunities to engage with the local community. If assigned to a child development center during this period, creative skills such as songs, dances, games, and innovative teaching methods will be valuable in teaching young children basic educational concepts.

Before going to the placement, participants will work with local coordinators to review teaching lessons, materials, and activities, ensuring a seamless continuity of lesson plans for the children.
